This video will actually show you, what I did and would show you the output realtime and no post processing, kind of minimal editing challenge :)

Thanks - good (and useful) explanation! Most of my occasional set-up shots have used macro modes/lenses -- I'll have to try something with a long lens next time ... :-)

Thanks for the how-to, Girish!

I love the sun flares!

The challenge that I faced during this timeframe was that for 3 weeks we had rain and cloudy and it was hard for me to find a spot where I can take a shot so I end up creating the setup to take the shot.

This was my entry though it did not do well but I tried something and use of 600mm lens inside a house to get the shot :).

to achieve this shot, I placed a brown/cream woolen blanket, adjusted to create some sort of desert texture. I have GoDox V1 with orange gel on the back with the white Umbrella to make sure it looks blast. I wanted to use a circular dish to create a fake sun but i dont have one :(

Next was I used 150-600mm telephoto lens and zoomed in all the way to 600mm to take the shot. I had remote trigger flash and done with the shot :)

How to was the setup:

and yes, it is a fake shot!
