One of the smart adapters for the new Canon EOS-R has the capability for drop-in filters.

I saw that one too. It does look like a cool idea, could provide for using filters with some lenses where filters are difficult or impossible to employ over the front element. On the flip side, don't think they'd be able to get a polarizer to work. FWIW, Canon does offer an EF-to-RF adapter that has a filter slot, and on that adapter a polarizer should be possible.

For those using the right mirrorless camera,but only with adapted lenses. Maybe one day they'll come up with something that fits my camera. The sensor protector sounds really useful.
