Is this a good deal? Should I invest in this? I do not see many photographs using this so cannot be sure.

The top product reviews give some pretty good feedback. Sounds like you need to move/hold the lens in place while shooting. That could get annoying. Personally, I can't imagine many situations where I'd use something like that.

Thank you Tate! I see the use only for standing situation likes person or garden or flower or something that is still but yes I see it cannot be use for moving or speed or windy situation.

It’s a cool lens. Use it with a screw-in diopter for same crazy macro shots but it’s not a walk about lens.

Thank you Ray!
That is what I see that it is not walk around lens though not sure how to use and setup with screw-in diopter, do you have some reference image or some where you read about how to?

I'm a bit out of touch with Lensbaby lenses (as I am with all new lenses) but isn't the Spark an entry into the Lensbaby system? It will take all their drop in lenses (I got a kit with my Composer years ago). The Spark is definately hands on, in fact you need both hands on it when shooting ;)

Search on Flikr for ‘Lensbaby’ if you want to see results before you buy. You can use it hand-held by wrapping your fingers around the camera and tilting the lens for the best shot, but sometimes it’s easier on a tripod. The diopters I used were made by Polaroid and came in a pouch of six, they screwed on the front of the lens and got you a lot closer. The IQ of the Spark is not good but it’s fun to use occasionally.
