Just go to where the files are stored on your hard drive for Lightroom etc and copy the original file.

I use RAW now...all my transfers are done by cable. I just got a card reader super fast by comparison and I download to my EHD then connect to my Lr...hasn’t failed me in years now!!!

I always worry about this. When I bought my point and shoot camera I noticed that a simple cut and paste changed the metadata so I bought a card reader. When that card reader died recently I went into a shop to buy a new one and the salesman recommended that I used Adobe Bridge for transferring my files. They now show the correct date but I still worry that something else may be wrong. I feel so much safer when I use my DSLR and shoot in RAW.

Well that stinks!!! One of my DQ’s was when I used to use Picassa to download my picture...it altered my files unbeknownst to me!!!

The former 3rd place image has been disqualified due to an inability to provide a valid original.

Remember to keep your unaltered originals, some software alters the image on import.

And congrats to the new winners!!
