Use some form of contrast in your photo to isolate your subject.

I would hope to have some sort of description like that one if we do this again.

Good bump. Been 10 years since the first one, give or take. I got 150th out of 188 in that one :-) I wonder if we could get 188 entries THIS time? Sigh...

Would like to suggest this Challenge from '07. Different conceptually from High Contrast, Object Isolation by Contrast requires an element of focus. Standard editing.
