His size is one reason I did not think it was a huntsman Spider.. It did come to my mind, This photo did not show it well at all... but hes soooo small for what they should be if it was a huntsman, unless its a baby.
I would have really loved to ID him more with more light for the color and to look at his eyes and the hair on the legs
I guess it will be a mystery after all. It was a fun guessing game thou

| When we built our house they loved all the nooks n crannies...for the first month after we moved in we killed at least 1 per day...I didn't think I'd ever get any sleep!!! |

Actually my vote is Wood Spider...we've had several over the years....
They don't spin a web but can move at the speed of light (not really but their super fast). I had them as big a my hand (total hand...not just the palm). They "crunch" when you can finally hit them...

Pretty please try hard to overcome your phobia....... spiders are super useful, and very few of them are an actual danger to us (most of those types live in Australia). |
Shouldn't you have an inborn fear of spiders? I've seen them way beetles, you know... ;) |

| The Huntsman Spider is most notable for "crab-like" orientation of legs, which I don's see in the OP's photo. Overall size is small for a Huntsman, which could mean it's a younger spider. It's true the Huntsman spiders have spread around the tropical world. ID chart. I guess we would need a closer photo to determine species. |

I agree it does look a lot like a huntsman spider. I live in Brisbane, Australia, and huntsmen are very common around here.

100% sure it's a Huntsman spider
We have them in Taiwan, they are really harmless. They can run incredibly fast.
They grow bigger than a human hand.
I took a picture not so long time ago and add it into a challenge picture.

It looks like a Huntsman spider! I wished I had Spider vising my home, I had to go to the forest to look for them!

I'm now the proud owner of a Bugasalt... in Pink Camo, LOL!
I've loaded and tested it, it is deadly to flies, small spiders, and the like. Pattern is about 2.5 inches in diameter at 3 feet. Wouldn't you know, I actually had a lot of trouble finding a fly. Couldn't even find one on the dog poop in the yard, LOL. |
