2 versions...and there are many more. I get sucked into this blending mode/layering experimenting, then things get interesting, and fun...and weird. But I like weird.

I have a lot of new software .. my husband bought me a ton when I got ill.. but a lot of it isn't loading properly ..so the nik efex set - topaz collection - pls the Photoshop and light-room you get each month via payments.

I am trying to learn as I go I have one here ready for critique but it's very much an amateur production lol. I have no problems with any feedback .. I am also having difficulty resizing it in PS - the resolution seems to be off .. anyway,k no more excuses here it is :)

I used a texture from the ones you linked to .. I changed the color .. trying to remember the person's name .. Ohh here it is .. daguer01.jpg
cgino - thank you - I did change the color and adjust the opacity .

Maggie, what software are you using? I'm kind of responding to your comment under my latest photo post. The coloring of the photo was done in Nik Analog Efex, which is a photoshop plugin. For the textures, I layer them on the photo and play around with the blending modes...I use the overlay, soft light, multiply and sometimes hard light blending most of the time. The more I experiment, the more interesting things can get. My main problem is I should write down what I do, so I can replicate an effect if I want to. But sometimes what works for one photo looks like crap on another. I think that's the cool thing about playing around with textures/overlays and blending modes...I like the uncertainty of it all.

Welcome Maggie! Some of us have shared textures beneath images we have posted in the SC...feel free to play around with them. Also there is a texture gallery here...let me look it up...

Check them out here.
