You are probably right! Didn't think about that! I would have thought that at least everyone that entered would vote though :/

You should have at least 1 comment now ShutterRev Though I cannot guarantee that it will be helpful :)

To everyone
It took me a while, but I've commented on everyone's entries. If anyone feel like they want to explain something after reading my comment, then feel free to PM after the voting is finished. If I made a bad suggestion for improving an image, then it will only make me better to hear why it is bad :)

Wow! You guys have some amazing entries in this challenge! What a pleasure it was to vote. Nicely done.

If you haven't voted this challenge yet, I HIGHLY recommend you do so! One of the best we've had lately (unless you like landscapes, then not so much).

If I may interrupt your monologue...

:)

Low voting might be because people unfamiliar with her work. I never heard of the lady before this challenge to my shame.

My score has slowly been rising toward a six. So my shot must be somewhat decent. :)

I have to say that I am very surprised that only 45 people have voted with only 2 days to go. Also, have other people received more comments? (Perhaps it is only I that only have 1 comment due to it not being a great image)

and Johnny Depp Oh my... I had a hard time of getting hold of him and he wouldn't fly to Iowa so I could photog him....

There are some really good ones! As it turns out, mine DNMC. I had a great idea, location, etc in my head but no cooperative model available. I really wanted to enter this challenge, but now I realize I need to pass unless I can successfully execute my original idea. :(

I adore the one with Edgar Bergen and Charlie McCarthy.

After a first quick look on my phone I see some entries that I really like. Lots of gorgeous stuff in there. Some images I like because they emulates a certain Mark's image and some I like because they capture the spirit/style of Mark's work. When I go back to vote and comment later I will probably give extra point to those that instantly makes me think of her work, like the ones that in my eyes are most thought provoking (in lack of a better word). Regardless, there are lots of smashing images and a couple that in my view did not quite hit the mark. My own entry belongs to the latter the votes indicate! Hehe... Score of 4.5 after 5 votes :)

I'd argue that there is a little more to be chosen from her body of work than ONLY people on the edge. Like take this guy for instance... he's just out for a mourning swim... ;-)

I wasn't able to contribute on this challenge unfortunately. I do think there are several really good examples of Mary's work. Well done...

After 9 years... I still don't know "style of" means "copy one of"...
