So sorry for reading this Karen.
But I want to thank you too for that 1 week you picked me as member of the week.
You brought less known members under the attention of everyone, you gave each a moment of glory.

As I feel that KarenNfld's work with MOTW over the years is too great a thing to lose, I will attempt to carry on her excellent efforts. I will be starting a new "Member of the Week" thread shortly, and where I will list links to the individual discussions, just as Karen had done.
I welcome any help/contribution that members wish, and are willing to make, and I suspect that I may at times need to call for help, but we can cross that bridge if/when we come to it.

Karen, thank you so much for your years of posting the member of the week thread. Being selected by you has been my highlight of DPC. I was more fun than my fisrt ribbon! I also loved to log in on Sundays to see who's portfolio was going to be highlighted. So thank you so much. Thank you to Langdon as well.

Wow, I will be joining a number of others in my sentiments, but I know that everybody who has said so is sincere, and I hope it means as much to you as being MotW has meant to a great many of us. I can easily say that being MotW is currently a high point for me on the site so far; I was truly honored to have been selected and have greatly enjoyed browsing the images of the other selected individuals, Thank You!

| Karen, thank you for your many contributions. The Member of the Week series brought a welcoming spotlight to quite a few members who could not have received that additional attention without your help. I once lived a dozen years in a small rural town. Great programs would get started for a few years, then end when the key person moved away. In some ways, DPC is like a small town, although scattered all around the world. We will miss your photography, the weekly member feature, and you. I hope that having Langdon award ongoing membership will allow you to continue your presence in whatever way feels comfortable. |

One of the nicest feelings you can get on this site was being selected.it was a great way to see new portfolios and it will be sorely missed.

| I still remember how it felt to be selected - thanks for that and for the opportunity to view your subsequent honorees, month after month.
