For beer, I loves me the small brewery, Beau's, some of their brand extensions are good, love their mainstay Lugtread Lagered Ale. Also tried Hobgoblin, Scarecrow etc from across the pond :-)
For wine, rough Chilean reds...oh yeah baby, gimmee that Gato Negro Cab! Not much into hard liquor though sometimes if I feel like f***in with someone, I'll bring some of that atrocious Fireball (cheap cinnamon-flavoured whiskey) along. |

This is no joke for one reason pertinent to the discussion. lolol NikonJeb told me he had a friend who SWORE that drinking pickle juice the next morning will quell any hangover.

| Bold red wines are my go to, and i have a bottle of 12 yr macallan in my cupboard to go along with evening cigars. But a friend brought back an unlabeled mason jar of clear stuff that I was enjoying immensely. The liquor store bottle of white lightning that I picked up when the mason jar ran out is seriously lacking on a variety of fronts in comparison. |

Flying Fish nearby to me is popular but I've moved past their offerings, Yards in Philly is decent. PA has some really good breweries close to Philly which is near to me. |

Any good Jersey breweries or beers in particular Mike?
CT is starting to have a good deal of breweries make some good quality beer. |

I don't usually drink, but if price was no option, I would drink solely Amarone, the most fantastic of unique red wines, if you haven't tried it, what are you waiting for?
If you like shiraz, perhaps try a huge jammy California Zinfandel- perhaps "7 Deadly Zins" or "Earthquake Zin."(when I think of Aussie table wines I think of this Aussie wine Monty Python sketch
Don't get me started on beer. I could beer snob it up for days.
Lately, a good celebration seems to end nicely with a few Irish car bombs...

I'm usually fond of Aussie Reds, but this! This is awful. Jip Jip Rocks 2012 Shiraz Cabernet. Don't do it. Really. Blech.
On the good side, it gets you just as sozzled. |

The mythical beast, KBC… The local stores have waiting lists of people wanting to buy KBC as soon as it's released. It's the same thing with Bell's Hopslam IPA.

Coors Light. Preferably in a can. Allegedly I cannot drink scotch nor whiskey (which I adore). Now I have never understood this but apparently my wife tells me otherwise, and I've been known to wake up with a couple of things that I don't remember. Craft beers are overpriced, and well, frankly to upscale for me. Simple beer, good friends, good conversation. That's a nice evening.

I'm rather partial to Madeira wine after a vacation there a few years ago. Deliciously rich and sweet. Like sherry's more sophisticated older brother! |

i actually had those the other night, i wasnt real big on them, one was run, one was spiced rum.. i had a Samiclause too whuch was very good. 14% too.
i cant wait to get my hands on this:

Oh yes I am a huge fan of that one and even have the glasses to match. Great thing is that most of the supermarkets in the UK seem to stock it.

Ruination, and really most things Stone, are incredible if you appreciate west coast IPA styles. I have nothing but support for them. And speaking of them, if you are more on the malt side, SERIOUSLY pick up their Stone Russian Imperial Stout. It is one of the better offerings on the market and ages VERY well.
I would second anything from Dogfishhead as well; they are always interesting, and regardless of if I really like the brew, I appreciate what they're doing. Their IPA's are nicely hopped but also have a respectable malt backbone.
Oh, did I mention I'm a beer lover?
Yeah, I generally stick to the extremes of IPA and stout/porter, with imperials preferred. I also homebrew.
If you can get it, I'd whole heartedly recommend Odell's Rocky Mountain IPA; partly because that's my hometown brewery (the best one, not New Belgium...) and partially because I love citrus notes and that's just full of them. Also check out Myrcenary by them if you can. Absolutely legit imperial IPA with high citrus. Hop Nosh is def. decent for an IPA but not blow my socks off. If you can get it, awesome, if not there are better offerings out there. If you like the malty beers, I'd also recommend Deschutes Abyss. It has a pretty wide distribution and is awesome, both for initial enjoyment and aging.
Beyond beers, I prefer gin, liking either Tanqueray original or Tanqueray 10 (again, prefer the citrus notes).
