I thought this might do well but it's getting a lot more love than I thought it would.

Just swinging by to see what's going on here. I caught myself trying to rub some spots clean on my monitor. Turns out they're dust spots in the pics :/ . So I've also noticed them. And it's not 1 or 2 - it's quite a number! (although the spots don't adjust my scoring)

Some nice photos in this challenge. We had some amazing clouds a few weeks back, but for the duration of the challenge submission the sky was either blue, grey or black; so nothing entered for me.

I'm not even mad though. It was a last minute entry and thought it might be too out of the box for people to approve.

I knew this was one of those images that a select few would like. I was right!

Awesome Hahn!!! Things are changing big time here and a few of the old buildings like Ross's resturant, and the 74 bridge and the hotel Jumer's Castle Lodge and the riverboat casino are all going to be gone.. kinda sad.. I will be going this weekend to take some HDR Shots of these buildings for old time keepers sake :-))

I do all my building shots in HDR and a few landscape ones

I have looked at the photos but I went back to look and I guess I really don't see them LOLOL... Such a remedial noobie learner I am.

How are they showing up as?

I know my picture will be on the lower end of things for the clouds so I am not expecting much because my cool clouds just did not happen on time (only if I could have used an older storm picture I had LOL)

You may or may not know I spent the first 50 years of my life in Davenport, IA. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your photos from the hometown. You'll be happy to know there are no such things as poor grammar, nor dust bunnies, in the Quad Cities.

Well, I just did a drive by and looked at the entries...I'm shocked that there are sooooo many dirt/sensor spots in the photo's...there are a lot of dirty lens/cameras out there (obviously not entering minimal editing challenges). It is advanced editing and you can clean those up at your computer...JFYI...

Ok, done with my rant. And I don't mean to start a war but ishhhhh. Learn to use a cloning tool!!!

Signing off...Spot Police....(lol)

looks like you did a drive by!!! you peeked and flew out the window..you should take those bifocals off !!!!

and yes i have entered minimal editing challenges and havnt had an issues!!!!!

I have to agree with ja-9 If you were going to print your image you would remove those dust bunnies. Just as if you were going to have many voters judge your entry and the rules allow it you would remove those things that are not expected as a finished image. If I left sensor dust in my image I would expect that would impact my judged imaged.

I'm hoping for a 6 on this one. I missed the six by 0.0077 on the Foreground Bokeh.
It looks like i'm on a right track for now

I don't see sensor dust in other people's images much. I'm curious what size monitor you use and/or if you blow up the images on an ipad or some other device when viewing.

I do have a larger monitor...but not huge by a long shot and no enlarging with iPad.

Regardless of sensor spots or not, and I've only had a chance to look at the entries on my phone, there are some awesome looking entries. I didn't get to enter this challenge, the two days I could shoot were cloud-free. That's what I get for living in beautiful Western Colorado.

Hmm, I'm also a slightly disappointed with the scoring start, otoh, it's only 10 votes. But this time I was really happy with the entry, so was expecting a bit more higher starting point. Oh well. :)

Ok, after having a look and vote with the others, I'm actually quite happy, soooo many awesome cloud pics!
