I'm reluctant to sign up, as I have failed so miserably during the last two years. However, I need something to push me to use my camera, so I will sign up again. Theme is hard as I know already for the next 6 months I'm pretty much not at home but travelling on business. Therefore, I'll keep my options open in case I slip. Mostly it will be snapshots :)

I failed miserably last year at this, I will do better this year. Topic to be determined.

Work is overwhelming, but I'd like to attempt this and join the group. Subject: anything.

Never made it more than a couple weeks on any side challenge, but I'm trying to turn over a new leaf!

Absolutely.

Count me in. I've been looking to capture more images while mountain biking so I will shoot for a weekly image from the trails.

Awww, bless you, David! And good luck!

Got it! I've been wanting to do this and been having an awful time coming up with something. Yet it seems like everything I shot in 2013 was for Dpc! And maybe this would get me shooting other things.

So my topic is: stuff NOT for dpc.

Oh wait! This is a dpc side challenge... does that mean I can't shoot for it? :)

OK. Stuff not intended for dpc challenges.

First time for me, lets give it a go. Topic to be decided.

I'm up for this. Failed miserably the last couple of years after a very enjoyable 2010 photo of the week.

My subject is going to be 'Botanical Studies' . It's not going to be particularly creative or artistic as i'm seeing it more as a longterm document type thing (although i do have some ideas where it might possibly branch out into something more creative)

I'm being bullied into doing this (you KNOW who you are...), but I will try to post as often as I can. Wishlist theme is alternative techniques, but will most likely be the Anything Goes variety.

I'll give it a try. My theme is "Monthly", meaning I'll pick a theme each month, more or less. Suggestions are welcome. January will be Abstract, as requested by PennyStreet. And now bspurgeon must sign up. :-)

Great. Look forward to these Alice. Choosing a specific point of view is fun and your POV is the opposite of what I did started in 2012. I called my series "underfoot".

I also liked the series you did a while back when you were shooting from the hip, so to speak.

I'd like to join. I think this would be a great thing to commit to, to get me back into photography. I would like to finally focus seriously on my street photography, but also leave things open to whatever else strikes me as photo worthy. As a secondary focus, I would love to learn about portrait photography in the new year.

I'll join. Missed 2013, had a busy year.

Something with food again, not sure about a theme yet, but my family is missing my weekly desserts (and so do I).

I'll try again. Topic may change monthly though ;) I'll start with landscapes as I will have a seachange coming up for a wee while. I would love to do other peoples weddings.

I'll join in. Topic: Interesting and/or colorful light on various indigenous subjects.

I'd like to give it a try

I think "anything goes" is fantastic... I would like to do this.

me too, me too.

I think of trying "street" as a theme.

Having done this challenge for a year now, the people who get through the entire year successfully tend to stick more closely to the idea of posting a picture every week than staying with a single topic. So from my perspective, "anything goes" is a perfectly fine topic. Also, switching topics midyear is perfectly acceptable.

On that basis, count me in. I may start with Abstract or Black and White as my theme, but "anything goes" is more realistic.
