I made it out to the salt flats. Sadly my camera is broken. It was a fun trip though.

You are in a wonderful spot.

Before it closes for the winter, you'll want to take the Jeep over Guardsman's Pass into Brighton and loop back through Salt Lake (or do an out and back.) Just head past Deer Valley and keep going.

I love the Alpine Loop too. It is on Mt. Timp area. The easy way to get to it is to go past Sun Dance Ski Resort and follow that road.

Of course, most of the canyons have some wonderful photo ops. I often just watch for places to stop and go exploring. The streams are usually running and make great long exposure ops.

For a weekend trip, Moab can't be beat. You have Goblin Valley, Arches, Dead Horse Point, the Shaffer Trail, Canyon Lands and a whole lot more from that area.

West of you is the Bonneville Salt Flats near Wendover.

Northwest you have Antelope Island, the Great Salt Lake, the bird refuge and more.

Take a look at my portfolio. If you find anything there you are interested in, just ask. Most was shot in Utah.

I am up in Park City, and I am looking for some weekend get aways, where I can find some interesting landscapes to shoot. 100% for fun as a way to get out and explore. I also just bought a Jeep, so if it requires some light trails I am on board with that as well ;).

Hi Jason. I'm a Utah shooter. The whole length of the state is terrific. Where are you and what are you looking for?
