May was horrible with a 26% less then April and 30% less then last year May. I still haven't recovered from the drop/dip at Shutterstock last year. I continue uploading to SS but it is flat-lining for me in the moment. And increases at DP and Canva are just not making up for it.

My best 4 in May: DepositPhotos, Zazzle, Shutterstock, Canva

2014 was only 5% better then 2013, but the last few month were bad. Just look at my income graph

Shutterstock had a huge drop for me starting October, and haven't come back up again. Also the POD Christmas season was much weaker this year. I just hope 2015 will be better.

The word to describe November this year is "horrible"! I am down 7% from October and 17% down compared to last year November. My biggest lost comes from Shutterstock, and the POD's have not picked up for the holidays as they have done in the last few years.

My best four for November were: DepositPhotos, Zazzle, Shutterstock, 3dRose

I expected so much more from October this year, but by the end I was happy just not to be below September. For whatever reason my revenue (sales and referrals) from Shutterstock dropped drastically in the second half of October, and it has not returned to normal so far. Also my POD sales have not increase this year so far. So October turned out to be the same as September and 5% less then last year October.

$40 in the the last 7 months?
I made $30 in the last 2 months! You really need to get some more work out there :)

I think very few people make much money in stock. I only do it as a way to have a little more cash in my camera fund. Every bit helps...keep the wife off my back :)

How much money are we talking?

I made $40 in the last 7 months ha! With the referrals previously on SS $40 - mm the would be a weak one.

Need to submit more...but sincerely I can't see it as an income source.

Can someone pls contradict me

Possibly interesting "statistic" ... my last ten downloads at Shutterstock:

-Truck emitting plumes of black diesel exhaust
-Concord, California Police Station
- Isaac jumping off the jhigh diving board into a swimming pool (3 times)
-Corpse flower (2 times)
-Sunset over San Francisco Bay
-Sun rays over East Bay Hills
-Abstract border/banner art made using flip/blend technique

That zazzle thing is interesting. I will certainly be checking it out. Thanks!

I still haven't gotten the hang of the templates yet, but I did create about 75 products.

I created two stores. The first was based on my photographs: Balefire Stock Imagery, and the other was mostly word-based, more to test out the system: Schmartepantz. To my surprise, I sold a two "consultant" cups without doing any linking or marketing. But nothing since.

Any additional hints or tips would be greatly appreciated. Oboy, thanks for your help. To delve into this area shows business creativity on your part.

Anything to do with Wedding, Birthday, Holidays, Sport, Baby will sell better.

Take a look at the following two tutorials. They will help you to create templates for the Quick Create function. Unfortunately they were made before the web layout change earlier this year. But the basic is still the same.

- //youtu.be/JZ1rpfLbAWY
- //youtu.be/k3kHz-Ash5c

With this technique I create hundreds of products with the same image in a very short time.

Thanks, I expect this will be very helpful. I truly appreciate it. Unfortunately, as I'm just starting with Zazzle--only 14 products so far--I don't think I'll be able to take full advantage of this year's holiday shopping season.

One last question: which types of products sell better on Zazzle?
12/03/2013 01:09:36 PM · #23
- You have to use the Quick Create function (with self made templates) to create new products.
- Create a blog with where you promote your products
My Blogs:
+ //hlehnerer.blogspot.com
+ //amazingzazzle.blogspot.com
- post your product (or links) on Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest (always include referral links)
+ https://twitter.com/hlzazzle
+ //www.pinterest.com/hlehnerer/
- Check forums for promotional tips
+ //forum.zazzle.com/
+ //www.nolansoft.com/thezug/portal.php

Right now is the best time in the year for Zazzle. I expect that January - March the percentage for Zazzle will be much smaller.

I notice Zazzle is an increasingly larger percentage of your sales. I see the difference is that Zazzle sells products with images on them, not the stock images themselves, an intriquing approach.

I've recently started my own account at //www.zazzle.com/balefirestock. However so far, I have less than a dozen products.

Other than pure volume, are there any tips you can share about succeeding on Zazzle?
