| It's a great quote and one which i'm constantly thinking about and paraphrasing. And, yea, i learnt it from Paul as well as being introduced to the work of Pellegrin (amongst others) by him. |

I miss him and I would love to have this challenge, looking at his stuff and reading his comments was always an inspirational experience for me, also if we did have this challenge maybe he might come back and inspire us some more, that would be awesome.

| Well, we would have to move the flag poles beyond Ubique's style, a movement inspired by Ubique. Definitely would be better as a side challenge rather than a single challenge, so you could develop a body of art. Damn those zeros! |

My final word is that nothing in art is more important than curiosity. Plant your flags as far from your own back yard as you dare. Then if you can still see them from that comfortable chair on your porch, move them out again. And again.

Fair enough... but creation of sacred cows resides exclusively with the masses, and should they opt to do so then it will happen.
I was simply curious as to why you mentioned this in a thread with a specific challenge suggestion as opposed to suggesting a separate topic. There is no disputing that she does indeed have talent, but that was not the topic of discussion in this instance.
I do appreciate your intent... I was simply curious as to the timeliness of and choice of location for your topic.

Ray, I'm all for a challenge in the style of Ubique and for expression of appreciation for Paul, but feel uneasy about creating sacred cows, no matter how much I admire them. I'm just moving the flags out a bit while there is an audience to allow others to look in a place they would never think of looking or would feel uncomfortable doing so. Personalities aside, her earlier work still has merit and was highly praised. All the same, apologies to those who regard this as hijacking, my post was aimed fyi (plural) not discussion.
