I think the question was did you accidentally set the EV compensation to +2 stops. This can happen if you are not using full manual mode and have the wheel on the back of the camera turned on.

Is your EV Comp at +/- 2?

I have a Canon D30, and the exposure meter is off by nearly 2 stops! Yikes!! Is this fixable? And how much would that cost?
