I have a viscerally positive response to them, but after closer consideration I like them less. There is no doubt that they're technically wonderful, but I find myself resisting them as contrived or clichéd. Well executed though.
PS: for thread readability, you might consider posting thumbnails, especially considering it's your website they're linked from. Generally images at most 150px wide are tolerated.

| i also love the top one..its something about not seeing the eyes that are doing it for me,its a shot that has not been to messed with ..i unfortunatly dont like the flower in the others sorry :)if you take them away and just have the model pose naturaly but making it dark like the first one..i think they would be winners. |

1x.com, also a photography site. They have a panel of judges as to whether a shot makes it onto their front page or not, I find the site to be very high quality and enjoy browsing the stuff over there, though I know there are a few here who think very differently.
Either way, I think yours is the type of shot that could make it through screening. |

| All are very good but I personally love the top--dark one. Wish you could enter it--a 10 in my book. |

I like them a lot, but they certainly wouldn't be legal for the open challenges. The only time they would be legal would be for a challenge under expert editing rules, and those don't happen very often. Also, your entry has to be taken after the challenge is announced, so any photo you have taken before this week cannot be entered in ANY challenge here.

I really wanted to enter these in the open competition, but am I right in thinking that these would be DQ'd because of the use of layered textures? Sorry, am a noob here :)
It's a shame, as I really want to enter them so badly :D
Any comments or critique is welcome ;)
