You should definitely be a politician Ken. 'Manouvering' like this will be highly rewarded.

While you're at it, I would like the SC to do something about every person who does not leave a comment on my photos, I pay $40 a year for extra storage so I should be doubly entitled.

Getting back to the original question, I had wondered what the user was doing because I had received several of his 4.5, 5.5 votes. And before I marked the comment as helpful, I wanted to know what the comment meant so I sent him a PM. This is the response I received:

"One of my graduate professors has us voting on photos based on rubrics we
create to try and predict what the average score will be for a photo."

Seemed harmless enough to me.

When I got a 6.5 comment I just assumed he was making a prediction. Harmless for sure.

I just commented on a member that's been here for over a year and hasn't entered a challenge. I don't think you need to enter challenges to enjoy and contribute to the site.

Hrm. I believe I had a little altercation not so long ago where I was basically told that what I thought held no meaning whatsoever because I wasn't currently engaging in challenge entries. You might want to be careful what you say ;) LOL.

Watch out, with a memory like that, people are going to start thinking you're female.... :)

Certainly good practices by dahlin.

BUT... One of my graduate professors told us...

So again, for the second time in a month, DPC is some testing ground for temporary members. And why is he the only guy dropping .5s?

To be honest I don't care. There are loads of weird voters here and there is no polite solution. But the gates do seem to be a bit low if you ask me.

Getting back to basics here, are we dahlin?

Sometimes all ya gotta do is ask.
I'm going to have to fave you dahlin, for that.
Just go to the source and ask.
Yes.

That is the second time I've seen that joke play out today online. Not kidding. Last one was about Palin running for president.

Win :-)
But FourPoint, we both know that nothing could ever come to close to being as amazing as a double rainbow across the sky.

What a strange thread. Where's those make commenting a requirement threads when you need them?
11/18/2010 07:14:20 PM · #23
SC actually gets paid, their memberships are free for their services. So $25 a year for their services.

Great, I knew this site was some sort of scam (or possibly a scamola)
I just pay my money into it to find out its some sort of Lamborghini slush fund?
