We took a road trip to the North Carolina Zoo at Asheboro today and I have posted some of the photos from that trip HERE.

Good lord, John -- NICE photos. Your colors are amazing, and so is your incredible focus and level of detail. I'm very jealous of your zoom. Tropical v01.jpg is stunning.

And here I thought you were a studio-shot guy...

I felt the need to step outside of my ghetto studio today to get a breath of fresh air... the air was fresh, but i think it scalded my lungs :(

I really enjoyed the album John. That's the kind of photography that I do for my own enjoyment so I can appreciate your efforts.

I really like the second meerkat photo, but frankly, a few of them seem a little overexposed.

Yeah, John. What color is the sky in your world, anyway?

Very nice John!

I really think that sony has terrific color and of course you put good compositions to it. I have always liked the image quality of the sony and these Zoo photos are very good.

The appearance of overexposure on these is because they were shot through glass... mostly dirty glass.. I had reflections and dirt to deal with on some of these... I had a great time tho... can't wait to get my 35mm slides back :)

That is pretty good for shooting through glass. I did some at SeaWorld from up above the whale tanks. It the glass was colored, and it lowered the contrast, but they still came out nicely.

Did you press the camera flat against the glass? A flexible lens hood works well for this kind of photo.

I you could remove that line of reflection in both chillin and second meerkat, those would make great large prints.

Did you ever buy a scanner?
