Not as common as a portrait orientation, but I can confirm are made that way. Usually they are used in places where they are to be pinned up to a wall or something like that. (No, my own entry is not in landscape format.)

I take it this is the thread for the "Rejected Movie Posters"

Gotta say....wow! I am stunned at the creativity displayed by some of our members here. Some absolutely wonderful entries in this challenge. Really enjoying looking at them tremendously. I withdrew my challenge entry at the last moment as I was not really happy with the result and i am glad I did. My concept was good but the execution left a lot to be desired especially the text part. My idea was a poster of a really bad B-movie horror genre " Return Of The Killer Tomatoes From Outer Space"
Now I am going to go through this challenge again to vote and comment :)

Frankly, I'm somewhat underwhelmed. I'm going to bed and will assume that my score will soar. :o)

Plenty of "landscape poster" s about. Billboards for one. They are almost always landscape. Another place i've always seen them are on the London Underground. Very common.

Good luck on your climb to 7. I can't recall ever starting out in the 6s after 20 votes and finishing in the 7s so I think this is where we part.

About 6.15ish most of the night. Not bad! Views seem kind of high. I guess it has that standoutish thumbnail quality. :)

If you're trying to collect the set then I suppose brown is one of them also.
Wish you actually got one on your portfolio page (Whiterook would have quite a collection).
I expect they are harder to get than one would think.

It was 5.91 at 34 votes and got a good comment from a high scorer. I guess somebody didn't like it.

Great job everyone - this was the most fun voting I've had in quite a while. I gave an average 7.02 score. Torally creative and entertaining.

Not sure if I completely agree with your statement, but i will concede that there maybe some landscape format posters, so I will review my voting and remove the "ding" from the landscape format entries, since I sure the same amount of work went into the image.
