Next week I'll be bringing home a new family member... a 12 week old chocolate lab/pointer x.... this little fellow needs a name so thought I'd throw it out there for some ideas. I like Gaelic names, Disney or other animated characters... quirky is fine, but it shouldn't be something he can't learn... I have one photo I'll try to post tomorrow, it's not great, he was wiggly and I usually had at least one or more pups in my lap while trying to take photos :P.....

Frisky, JoJo, Frank Zappa, John Zorn, Alfredo, Tinkles, RoRo... any of those?

"Ferris"... Gaelic for "a rock". And first name of the greatest film character, from the greatest ever film, Ferris Bueller's day off...

Or you could go with "Bueller". That way when you call him, it'll be "Bueller, Bueller, Bueller"... hahahaha

Angus - excellent strength or vigor
Declan - full of goodness

Just name him Dammit. That way when he tears up a pillow, eats a couch, or craps in your shoe you can easily just yell Dammit and he'll know he's done wrong.

I've told my wife I wanted to name our next dog Dio-ji. She says I'm crazy.

How 'bout Bacon or Crackling? Oh wait, those are pet pig names!

There were 7 dogs climbing on & around me, most were rather hyper pups so capturing pics was a challenge to say the least. My strap got chewed on and my lens licked & nose kissed several times LoL... loved it....

This is the best I got of our new baby... he's the taller, darker one on the right.

I love the "Bueller" suggestion! Haha.

Some of those other Gaelic names are great as well. Choose one with some distinct hard sounds that he'll be able to recognize (and that won't sound like other words he's likely to hear often.

I met someone once who had a pet pig named Sizzlean (pronounced sizzle-een, like on the old TV commercials). I thought that was hilarious.

So far....

Frank Zappa, Ferris, Bueller, Conor, Quin, (Albert or George will be my 2nd youngest's middle name if I can convince my ex... long story)...
Canon/Rebel/Flash are great :D, Dixie... isn't that a girl's name? I'd have to whistle Dixie then ;)...
Dio-ji is cute, does it mean something? I think I'd get tongue tied with that tho LOL...

Love to hear more ideas... lots of time left ;)

How about "Wierzbowski" -- you could call Bowski for short.
