This is a little off the subject but I need to explain my photo for this week. I know the consequences. I have only 4 comments. My photo "Water Glass" is composed of a large wine glass full of luke warm water. The bubbles near the top of the glass is on the inside. I placed a small candle several inches behind the glass to produce the warped candle image. I hope this explains things which could either help or hurt my rating. Have a nice 4th! :-)

So what are the consequences?

Well, maybe the rating might go beyond the photo.

This should probably go on the "Web Site Suggestions" forum, but it fits here. Would it be difficult to have a small area where we could post artist''s comments with our submissions? I could be limited to 150-250 characters to keep it from getting out of hand, but it would be a good place for a photographer to explain his/her ideas without giving away the entry.

I think we had a discussion about this last week and decided that the photographers should not reveal their photo in the forums during the challenge.

Photos should stand on their own. If a photo is good enough then the voters will get it, if not, then you can just try again next week. People can't help it if they don't understand a photo. Some do and some don't. But I think that is part of the fun.

Most of my photos are strange enough that 250 words would only further confuse people.hehe :-P

Hokie, that is part of the appeal of your photos. I think it's great when you convey a little of your own personality and tastes in your photos.
