I'd love it if you would explain how you did it. The challenge was about homemade sets, after all.

I used pieces of old glass set up with back lighting and moved all of the parts ( light, glass and camara) until I found an angle that gave me the shot I ended up with. It took quite a few shots to get one that looked like a "real" landscape. I really appreciate all the comments on that one.

Well thanks for the detail. I need to work with old glass. Thank you again.

Ciao Paparazzi!
Boys and girls, it's time once again for the monthly Purple Prose Award ... awarded to the photographers with the best narrative of their (October in this case) Free Study entry. Check here for the back story. And the Winners are:

by gadion and by CJinCA
Be sure to click on these and read their stories!

There were many other fine narratives stories. Congratulations to these nominees:

orvaratli Silent-Shooter Yo_Spiff claylikethemud hopelessoptimist bohemka PennyClick SAScambos patches giantmike kvartanov wyverndragon clive_patric_nolan Luci11e

As a reminder, these awards recognize the stories the photographers told about their photos. Why was this photo/subject significant to them? What heroic acts were involved in taking the photos? How were they edited to deliver the photog's intended message? Read 'em and weep ... and learn.

Wow - Thanks! We've been on the rode driving back to CA and just got our internet connection up and running so I didn't see this until today. I appreciate the award and am amazed at the effort you must go through to select the nominees. Thanks again! :-)
