I think it would be a perfect studio lens!
Canon 1200mm lens......

I'll just have one and someone to carry it for me. :)
Wouldn't that be fun.

only 120K, hmm, I wonder if they would take 500 cash, and my house?

Not to mention the studio cost for a space large enough. 46 ft minimum focusing distance... And even then your model's left nostril will fill the frame :D

It's been going up in price... Used to be 99K.... Cheap at twice the price as they say... I guess if you need that range then nothing else will do.

"Minimum focus distance is 46 feet"

I couldn't even focus on anything in my back yard! :)

It comes with a case. A big friggin case. I think if I were to buy this lens my wife would throw the lens out and use the case as a coffin for me after she shot me!

Ouch...I just read about the most expensive lens in the world (it’s a Leica of course)

//leicarumors.com/2008/12/11/the-most-expensive-lens-in-the-world-its-a-leica-of-course.aspx/

Cost? A little over $2 million US.

I knew I had seen a review B&H did using this - from their roof because I suspect no one wanted to lug the thing anywhere else :-)

I don't understand the increase in price since there don't seem to be as much of a demand for the lens. Back in 2005 or so the list price from B&H was around $79K. A few years later I seen that the price had went to $99K and now it's up to $120K. From what I understand they don't make the lens anymore and only about 12 or so were made. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Well I ordered two of them, but I may have to wait 2 weeks for delivery...

The good news is: NO PAYMENTS FOR 6 MONTHS!

Oh, here comes the delivery truck now...
