My suggestion is that there should be no adds on the paid members homepage for visitors. I hope others also agree & like this suggestion :)

paid members homepage for visitors?

I'm afraid I don't understand what you are exactly wanting.

One of the perks of buying a membership is that you see no ads.

I think he means when someone who isn't registered at all visits.

I think this would take away from a lot of ad revenue though if member's pages didn't have ads for outsiders.

I don't think people that aren't logged in and aren't members should have the benefit of ad free viewing.

OK let me be a bit clear on this:

1. When visitor visit this site they see adds on our profile page etc.
2. If I am a paid member of this site then visitors should not see any adds on my profile page.

I don't think it's an advantage to visitors but opportunity to show your profile to them in a neat manner. I hope now I have stated correctly.

The problem is that if you're a member and want to surf ad free, then all you need to do is logout, and then you would be considered a "visitor".

The ads is one of the things that bring money for the site.
For ad free there are tons of sites that promote this.

I get what you're saying, since you are a paying member, you should have the option of having your profile page ad free so that people looking at it see your stuff in its best environment without being annoyed by ads. You see it as more of a privilage for you than for the visitor because you don't want your nice profile page with all your top shots ruined by ads, and in a way I agree with you. But if you're just wanting a place to showcase your stuff there's better places than DPC for that anyway, like flickr and google picassa, and they're free.

I have already have my showcase on flickr, Betterphotography & my website shutterpoint not only free but as a pro member. I thought it will be nice addition to have DPC profile neat & clean for my visitors.
