alright so i'm pretty sure people just missed the smile in mine... not trying to rant but i've been here long enough to know what a 5.0 pic is :P

it's clear in the thumbnail, maybe it's just not as apparent when viewing full screen. Aghh i gotta pick it up!

Right there with you--i missed my prediction on this one. Thought i had a subtle but recognizable face...

I truly believed that I would get blue or at least red for this one... now I just step back and join to crowd that believed the same like I did and kicking themselves in the rear-end... I think I missed the whole subject, cursed, living in a parallel universe, dreaming, in a coma or just simply a bad photographer with bad concepts and prospectives.

Well, I finally get a challenge through that I suggested and I didn't get to participate due to an illness in the family. I haven't been home all week. Good news is, all is well with said family member and they should be home from the hospital today (Hopefully, Fingers crossed :) ) Anyway, I just wanted to say that there are some amazing shots here. Here is how I voted...

Stats: You have rated 82 of 82 images (100%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 26 images (32%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 5.6463.

I am going to try to comment on every image, I just needed a break from it. Lastly, just because photos score poorly here, doesn't make them bad photos. Some voters are very fickle and some are not. I've seen very good photos score in the mid-4's. Just because you perhaps missed the concept, doesn't make you a bad photographer. I miss the concepts on most of my challenges...LOL... The beating I have taken is how I learn :)

This is what I get for editing on a laptop without being able to review on my calibrated monitor. Ouch - oversaturated and oversharpened! And it looked so good on my laptop....

Well, I am happy to report that whatever score I end up with in this challenge, it has a reasonable chance of being the highest score to date for an image taken with the Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS lens ;-) :-) I purchased the Canon 7D and this lens as a kit last week and this is my first challenge entry for both, and very possibly the first entry for this lens on DPC.

I have had full intentions of getting the 7D since it was announced and waited to see the reviews. I got my XSi recently and decided to wait until the rumored announcement of the 60D this late winter/early spring. If it has the new auto focus/color meters and a few other 7D features in a slightly scaled down kit I might go for that and put the extra money towards another lens. It WILL be one or the other in the near future.

I almost didn't enter and it was a last minute thought. Hit the submit button with one minute left. Made it just in time. Whew...
