I got an email from a potential client who wants to do a shoot. She said the following: "I love the look of grungy meets elegant...like a woman dressed nice in front of a grafittied brick wall or something."
Anyone have any suggestions for appropriate locations for such a shoot in San Diego? I'm also thinking warehouses, industrial areas, alleys and the like. And if you have examples of such shots I'd love to see them!

Just a little bump since I'm seeing this potential client tonight. I'm going to google around for locations, plus check flickr and Model Mayhem and other places that might give me ideas. I'll post what I come up with in case it's helpful to anyone else!

I'd be looking at the commercial harbor at the foot of Shelter island and along harbor drive a little ways.

Just to help my fellow San Diego shooters, I found the perfect spot for the shoot in question! It's at the end of Hazard Center Drive. Graffiti, a freeway underpass, (potentially) blue sky, repeating visual lines... great stuff to work with here. I did a super-quick "test" shot with a fella I worked with on another project, I'll shoot the model at this location next week!
