To be honest with you I have no idea what to do BUT I wouldn't "vote anything down" for any reason, although I would vote something WAY up if I recognized the Photographer...for sure. I just think it's a strange Challenge and thought so, the minute I read the description because it's nearly impossible to vote on based on what they asked for.

Hence, not voting this one. But I will comment a few here and there. Sometimes the challenges are not "perfect". But at least this showed a different approach. It wasn't Macro XXIII. :-) We take the good with the bad, live for the moment, capture what we can, yes?

100 votes and barely hanging on to my 6.
Sitting at 6.1100 and still no comments

Passed the 100 mark and i'm very pleased with the 6+ so far and 2 faves. Two people have guessed correctly and i've been mistaken for maybe paulbtlw, RKT, yanko or pointandshoot which is an honour as they are among my favourite photographers here.

I feel the description was more for the photographer than the voter. The challenge is to look at your body of work and see if there's a signature style. It's a chance to get to know yourself better. The challenge to the voter is to vote on what we see, and how successful that photograph is, regardless if we know or guess or have no idea as to the photographer.

When you first get started, the most fun is seeing where your 1st 5 scores fall. Then the fun thing is trying to beat your own score. My first and foremost thought when the challenge starts is that I hope to beat my own average.

It's challenges like these where I have the shot straight off the bat, I play and play some more, then I leave it and can't wait to see how it goes, then voting starts and I think, crap, shoulda done this, shoulda done that.

Great idea, thanks. That is what I am here for; get new fresh ideas and push myself to get better shots.

p.s. I see we are both in the same state :) Except your local motif is larger cities and ocean/bay while mine is country and mountains.

At this point I'll be somewhat calmer if I can just get over a 5...but man I'm definitely starting a "Whats wrong with this photo" thread lol. I know people can guess which photo is mine because the two people who guessed it easily...or did i just create a few good enemies in the last couple of weeks...if I did...er....I'm sorry?

Wendy - that is exactly what I had in mind when I submitted the suggestion for this challenge. Thanks for putting it so eloquently here.

Yes, i really enjoyed the challenge for that reason. Really made me notice various themes and motifs that i am often drawn to, consciously and sub-consciously, in life and hence my photography, and pull them up to examine.

The Edward would be K10Dguy and I'm sure that was probably me that guessed it. LOL!

2 of the comments are ID guesses, both correct.

I'm getting very familiar with your portfolio's and challenge pictures...at this rate I don't know if I will be able to do all the commenting...I doubt that I will be able to "guess" at all the entries, especially the newbies (but I'm trying). I think this is the best aspect of this challenge for me....to get to know you guys/gals better...kind of like that myself...

Stats: You have rated 0 of 192 images (0%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 30 images (16%) in this challenge.

I know I've gotten some of these wrong but I think I've gotten the majority right...hmmm has anyone else guessed on all? Those are the only ones that I'm working on now...and will for the next couple of days...(guess')
