Just bustin chops and I don't mean to sound "pedantic" but I don't see the point.

Carry on, my friends...

Don't mean to negate the description, I just thought the fun part was (1) looking deep into my little photographic quirks to see if there was at least one subject/style I have gone to repeatedly and wanted to try again .. and frankly wouldn't mind being known for, and (2) see if anyone else *does* know me for what I entered, and (3) try to guess who some of the photographers are if I think I recognize their work. But since I don't know for sure who shot what, I can't really see how I could vote on how well they nailed their style. I will most definitely be going back afterwards to see who entered what, and finding out may inspire some post-challenge comments.

It's a good thing to be found (I think!!). That's the point of the challenge, right, to represent yourself and what you do best. I tried not to be TOO obvious about it though (if I did my score would be higher... he he).

You know, it's all good. I do hope that people had some fun doing a little photographic soul searching and figuring out what "style" is and whether or not they had any. It would be great if it all led to a little less copying and repeating of works. Also, I believe a way to develop style is to identify it wherever it exists and then try to do something different.

I've been found twice so far BUT I also realize that my more current stylistic approach, which is quite different these days from my entry, would have been better for the Challenge. I went with something that I did religiously for 3-4 years but have drifted away from. Probably a mistake (Challenge-wise) the more I think about it, though I'm not sure.

I'll bet ten ten to twelve people get me by the end. Doubt it will do much for my score. hehehehehe

My Voting statistics until yet:

You have rated 134 of 192 images (70%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 5 images (3%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.0896.

In all 5 comments I guessed about photographers. I think most of them are correct ones. Very nice images overall I enjoyed voting on them. About me most of the voters have guessed me!

i'm very angry, also because, obviously, there is no coment on this low vote...

Taking away my puzzle macro score, I haven't scored this low in a challenge since June. It bothers me because I know it's not a sub 5 photo and I only have one comment which is a guess (a correct one) but that's it. For a score this low, I would expect a least a couple of comments to explain why...hopefully later in the week when people finish voting they will start to comment and let me know why it's so bad.

ETA: I haven't scored this low on this style of shot since January of last year...hmm I wonder if it will be a yearly thing.

I had hopes that I might get a new PB with this entry. Two of the comments picked it as me. One of them picked someone else.

Just me but I think it's ok to comment on who you think it is but I think most folks who entered would also like to have comments explaining votes and comments on the picture itself (you know the ones, "I really like this." or "Nice job", "great shot".) I think the description of the challenge is mis-leading the voters a little. Like I said - just me.

I just voted on every image and was really impressed with the wonderful photos in this challenge. I personally wasn't able to capture anything submitworthy last week so I'm not in the challenge, but it was fun to vote and see if I could see recognizable styles. The problem is that certain styles go with more than one or two photographers, so its hard to be sure. But anyway, GREAT job everyone!

This has been hashed out so many times here - and every time, it seems the general consensus is that if you are recieving a vote of 1, 2, 3, etc - then to the person doing the voting your photo deserves the vote of 1, 2, 3, etc.

Same goes for the high-end votes - are they all really "10" quality pictures ? Of course not - they are only "10" quality pictures to those voters who give them a "10".

Does that make ANY sense ?

OOh, I just got a 3. I'm sporting a lovely score and that took me by surprise. First low vote though, so can't complain.
