I've had several users contact me wanting to know if I have considered running the WPL again. A short answer would be YES. I was disappointed when the DPL only ran for one season. It's been 2 1/2 years now and in recent weeks I have been putting the WPL site together. You can view the site here.

It's not completed but I am working on it daily to try to have it ready for teams to form and pick a captain. I will keep you updated on its progress.

The WPL will be open to members and registered users. There will be 10 teams with seven photographers (counting the teams captain). And the season will run for 10 weeks followed by two-weeks of playoffs and the PhotoBowl.

Let me know if anyone is interested.

Thanks,
Scott

These were all before my time. What was the WPL, DPL, DPCO, etc. I've seen them mentioned but not explained.

I write up a summary of the WPL shortly and post. But here is a quick overview.

The WPL is a League comprised of two-conferences. Each conference is divided by two-divisions and there are four teams in each division.
Your team consist of 7 photographers and scores are based on the weekly members and open challenges each week. If a photographer enters both the members challenge and one of the open challenges then their highest score will be recorded. Out of the seven team photographers the top four scores (one from each photographer) will be divided by 4 and that will be the teams score that week. It will be compared to the team that your playing that week and the team with the highest score wins.

The team in each division with the most wins at the end of the ten-week season moves to the playoffs. The winners of the playoffs will go head-to-head in the PhotoBowl.

Hope this helps.
Scott

I was wondering how the teams worked. Do you just go round up your own, are you drafted, etc.

I'm very interested. I was on an original team w/ MAK, librodo, kiwiness, and a few other awsome users before MAK started getting his ribbons. It was awesome!
