Alright, please be as brutally honest as possible, I've got tough skin. Any feedback will be appreciated.
This was a family wedding in which I was not the main photographer, so some of the staged where people aren't looking at me, I snapped after the main photographer. A lot of them I got when the other photographer wasn't around though.
All were taken with the tamron 28-75mm f2.8 XR DI lens, which I used for the second time during the wedding. I also used a sunpak pz-500af flash with a lumiquest pocket bouncer on top.

As you can tell, I was really liking the B+W photos :)
Some thoughts, I really like the 28-75 lens, it's very crisp.
This was my first time other than a few test shots with the flash. My only complaint is the recycle time. I think I'm going to try to make some sort of external battery pack to help it recycle faster. I also am going to look into the lumiquest softbox instead of the pocket bouncer to provide a more even light.
Also, I think I need a flash bracket. I found myself not wanting to switch into portrait orientation even though it probably would have been better because of the way the shadows would have cast.
Overall, I'm incredibly pleased for my first attempt. They still haven't seen them, but hopefully they'll be happy when they do.

I think they are all great, I really like the selective desaturation and the b&w's. I will be doing my first wedding July18th as the main photographer. Its not a big wedding, my friends 2nd marriage and its in a small church (20 guests) and its really informal but she still wants me to take some photos. I am going to begin researching online the best way to take wedding shots, maybe check out a few books at the local library, any advice?

Lots of advice, but I may pm you later instead. For now:
Think LOTS of light. Find out when and how much flash you can use. You'll need it. Also if you are doing any formals, plan that time. Don't let other photogs near you when you do it at all - their flash will screw with your shots and disposables can't usually turn it off. Remember to move around them but keep a reasonable distance if possible. Think one step ahead of the wedding - where will the NEXT shot look best from. :)

Beautiful work, Jeremy. I adore the one of the groom and the little boy, and the one of the couple on the bench kissing. They will have some wonderful photos to remember this day. I can't give any advice...I think it's great!!! :o)

| Nice photos. The father/son and bride/father(?)dancing ones are the best for me. I can feel the bonds between the people. Maybe a closer crop on the dancing one? I love how she looks so content in his arms. |
