Hey there,

Looked around a bit and could not find any data on the web that was recent so here goes.

I am looking to buy a new monitor to use with my PC. I am looking for something in the 23"-24" range with HDMI and VGA/DVI. Price range lower than $300.

Here are the 4 I am down to after looking for a long time. What are your thoughts/opinions?

1. Acer H243Hbmid 24" Widescreen HD LCD Monitor - 2ms, 40000:1 Dynamic Contrast - ($244.99)

2. Samsung Touch of Color T240HD 24" LCD HD Monitor - 5ms, 10000:1 Dynamic Contrast - ($269.99)

3. ASUS VH242H 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor - 5ms, 20000:1 Dynamic Contrast - ($189.99)

4. Viewsonic VX2433wm 24" Class Widescreen HD LCD Monitor - 5ms/2ms w/GTG, 20000:1 Dynamic Contrast - ($199.99)

Which ever you choose, be sure to calibrate your monitor.

i recommend a very hot monitor online.but i dont know whether you will receive it or not.

I just purchased a Viewsonic VX2260wm and really like it. It is a sweet monitor. While I was in the hunt I also spent alot of time looking at some of the Samsung Models available here and thought that they were pretty decent also, Both brands run around the same price range so It was a tough choice but in the end I went with Viewsonic because I have had them in the past and always had good luck. That and this Viewsonic has HDMI input where as the Samsung equivalent I was looking at did not.
