I recently did a photography workshop at our local library and I thought that I would make my presentation available here. I used many of my dpc entries for examples. The files are kinda big, but I would love it if you would go through them and let me know if they help or how you like them. I basically just picked out photos to represent the elements and principles of design and how they are used in composition. I also have a presentation on technicals. The link is:

I love your work and want to give some feedback, but the flash version doesn't for me and the html version doesn't show properly.
I am using a Mac and tried with both safari and firefox.
nvm, my internet is super slow.
From what I've seen (88 slides of the composition one), I think it is very comprehensive, and I especially enjoyed the color theory slides. Your sample images are also dead on with the matching principles taught. I would however love to learn more about your train of thought as you compose your images. But perhaps that can't be taught.
Overall I would recommend your workshop to a beginner friend interested in photography, or someone more experienced to brush up the basics.

Thanks Wanjun, I greatly appreciate your comments. I hate that the file sizes are so big. I tried reducing the size, but the quality of the jpgs just gets unacceptable. The other option is to reduce the number of example slides to maybe just 1 or 2 per theory. My audience was beginners and it was meant to be more of a study on the artistic aspects of photography and how you accomplish your vision with the technicals.
Thanks for mentioning the color theory slides as well...I loved creating those and it really helped me to think about color theory more (especially being a b/w guy).
In regards to my train of thought on composition I did present that in the workshop. It is slide #79 of the technical presentation. I spent the majority of the workshop on that one slide. I talked about how I approach a the composition with the following flow:
What is the main idea or subject?
Lighting/Contrast background/clutter
supporting items
composition/perspective
Depth of Field
Shallow
medium
large
Shutter speed
show motion
stop motion?
Camera shake?
ISO
Equipment selection
Adjust exposure
Shoot!
