Today I bought the spyder 3 calibration tool for my monitor. I ran the program and it generated and installed a color profile on my laptop. This worked fine, I think. A grey chart now looks more neutral on my screen.

The problem I have now is that when I edit a file in PS (with sRGB as workingspace) and save it, the image looks the same in for instance Windows Picture gallery, but different when I view it in a browser or on my desktop.

What do I have to do to make sure that a file that I edit in PS looks the same when viewed in a web browser? Do I have to assign the new monitor profile as the workingspace in PS while editing and convert it afterwards to sRGB? Or something else?

This color profiling thing is confusing me a lot. It's frustrating that what i see (and what I want you guys to see) still isn't what I get. Can someone help me out on this one?
