Does someone figure that within 2-3 years we are going to have a new convention for listing light sensitivity? Hey, my new camera has ISO 1.2 million!

It's reasonable to have assumed that they'd skip the IV and go straight to the V, after all they did that with the G series cameras, they skipped G4 and G8

If they can match the 5D mk2 for low noise then I will be an early adopter of this camera. Also with 39 high precision cross type AF sensors they are not taking ANY chances this time with the AF.

Agree, all the blogs, rumor sites and twitter were abuzz with the Mk V moniker - I was surprised to see that it was called the IV.

How much do you reckon I will be able to chop my 1D mkIII in for when this is released?

I have already had mine - lets just say negotiations were not favourable to me especially after the recent £1200 dropped on a new lens. :(

Warehouse Express have just sent me a maildrop and their price is a whopping £4499 - what a con!! I would be better off getting a cheap flight to the US, picking one up there for the MSRP of $4999 (£3000) and bringing it home. Would work out far cheaper.

And the high ISO quality is a lot better judging by this example - although this is JPG not RAW, so some in camera reduction possibly going on here..

I would be interested in looking at the ISO performance at the camera.

The D3s is absolutely impressive at very high ISOs, difficult to beat IMHO

That ISO102,400 crop is a joke!! It looks like my 300D did when I run the hack to get ISO3200 - a bloody mess! I really cannot see the point.

ISO 102,400 should be a joke, seriously, what could you possibly expect.

Aww, come on. I bet a quick run of Neat Image would spruce that shot up nicely! :)

Taking a picture of a printed calendar is probably not the best test material. But it is pretty funny.
