...for the "update button".

I haven't been active at all in the past 1.5 to 2 years (give or take) and just entered my first challenge (Books II) in a long time. My membership lapsed a few months ago and I had no update button. It took me all of 2 hours this morning to freak out, pull out the credit card, and become a member again - just so I can click a hyperlink (every few seconds) and get ticked that someone gave my image a 3 or whatever. :)

That's okay, I paid $25 (also after a very long hiatus) for advanced editing so it's not too different ;P

That's interesting. I paid $25 to get beat up twice a week instead one just once.

I did the same thing for the last freestudy, I had planned on not renewing for awhile. But Wanted to play. Now that it is over I would like my money back. lol

Actually I will find more time to enter challenges now that I am only a 3 block walk from the Ocean and some Amazing Rock Formations, Seals, Penguins and Various other creatures that live by the Sea, not to mention a Mountain Rich Backdrop. A few blocks in the other direction leads me into a very busy little city that has some very amazing buildings and people to point my camera at. So perhaps I will get that stupid ribbon i have been trying to scoop up the past 4 years.

There is no known cure for update addiction. You may go years without the button but just seeing it is enough. It's as if all that time clean has simply ceased to exist...

Hi. I am Bob and I'm an update-aholic <applause>. I have been sober for 8 months. <more applause> I keep "show scores" turned off except for checking my score once in the morning and once at night. My family is really happy with me sober, as I spent lots of time with them and am much less grumpy all the time ("Damn it -- a troll just gave me a 3!"). The problem is that I have a photo in voting sitting at 5.9 and I am really tempted to start hitting that update button. I know if I just watch it, I'll see it go above 6, and I really need the rush of seeing a 6. I have been stuck in the 5's for a so long and worked so hard that I really need and deserve another 6. I just really need it! I know I shouldn't do it as it is such a slipperly slope. I have come so far and don't want to go back to the way I was before.

:)
