Brownward Bound

(parody of "Homeward Bound" by Paul Simon)
I'm staring now at my workstation
Rollover is my destination
The challenge theme was just perfect
I had the ribbon once the shutter clicked
I processed per the site's clear rules
The other guys, well they will drool
Brownward bound.
I know I'm not
Brownward bound.
Brown, for the worst one taken.
Brown, for the blurred or shaken
Brown, where my heart is breakin'
For my so-called art.
Every one's an endless stream
of photos taken sharp and clean
The challenge results the same to me
Basic, Advanced, the studies free
An amazing shot that I do see
The voters though do not agree
Brownward bound.
It seems I am.
Brownward bound.

This week I'll enter once again
I'll watch this thing and pretend
But all the voters reflect to me
My talent's mediocrity
The fives, the fours, the awful threes.
The few high votes that cruelly tease.

Nicely done.
(except for the 'for my so-called art' bit, that doesn't roll off the tongue when I sing it like "silently for me")

Gotta admit that is pretty sweet - I could feel the tempo pick up at that chorus and the lyrics fit perfectly..
however on the other hand... slow day today? |

Not really... scores are tanking and it just came to me. They do that. |
