Estimates and guesses on how your "Centered Composition" shots will fair in the challenge.

I think my shot is possibly strong enough to average around a 5.83 ;D

Crap, typod the forum title.

At this point, I wouldn't even hazard a guess here! I've had shots before that I thought should have done a lot better than they did. I personally really like my shot for this challenge and hubby did too. My guess is that the xxxxxx voters will vote higher on my challenge this time than the xxxxxx, LOL. I was going to put qualifiers in, but decided not to damage the integrity of my shot, hehehehe.

I just like to do this because it was one of the first things I participated in in the forums when I first started here in October, I just thought I would keep the tradition, just a fun thing to do to pass time until the challenges starts.

I'm looking for a 5.49 to beat my current best. I'm very happy with the shot and hope its not slammed for being 'simple'. Its my first submission using the 300D and will surely remove my first entry from my 'highest ratest photos' links.

My first entry and considering re shooting it

Hey wow! When did you upgrade? Good luck!

My rusted challenge was a good 6.?? but the centered one will be low, probably a 4ish.

Not sure why I submitted that piece, I like itself, but within the challenge I'm sure i'll get a few "Did not meet the subject"

oh well here goes nothing!

5.6 with 12 comments. I'm guessing that 4 of those will be 3 words or less saying the same thing. One might comment on how centered/uncentered it is and 2 will comment on the background.

I'm guessing somewhere between 5 and 5.5, but I've been getting a lot of 4s lately, so who knows :) I'm expecting people to gripe about the focus, and possibly the centering not being perfect.

I would think this would be a hard challenge to be off-topic.

I can see it now, people with their rulers and protractors. Yes, I am that big of a nerd, but I am not that picky and am willing to give people the benefit of the doubt on centering, unless it is blaringly obvious.

8 days ago Matt, and thanks. First thing I learnt was the speed of this cam, its awesome, much faster than the 'old' A1. Just have the kit lens right now but am eagerly awaiting delivery of a used SIGMA 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO MACRO ZOOM.

Can I charge any of this to dpc? they made me do it

I'm really hoping I'm able to break the six barrier with this one.

It's my first submission with my new camera.

Anyway, I'll probably end up with like a 5.1 or something. Right in the middle of where my usual score is.

Although with last challenge, I got my lowest scoring photo ever! Go me.

I would be happy with anything above a 5.5, but I have a feeling that it will be around a 5.1. Not that imaginative. :o(

I'm sticking my neck out, HOPING for a 6.4, 15 comments. Got my fingers crossed. All I can say, no one can tell me it isn't centered, LOL. I measured it almost to the pixel.

Same here, when I cropped, those cross-hairs were DEAD center! LOL!

Well, looks like the "troll" voters are out, LOL. Up 20 votes from my high this morning and down .4 - usually seems to happen during the first day particularly. I'm guessing that I'll top 6 for the first time tho' so I'm happy.

Something tells me I've already seen yours, Jacko. I've only voted on about 40%, but a few were Jacko-ish :) Although, I haven't come across a picture of Sam yet, so maybe it's still in there :)
