You can't take pics of UFOs with a digital camera. Their sheilds and cloaking devices prevent capturing images with anything other than film cameras. But sometimes if you're quick and lucky you can get pics of the little clouds of ion debris left in their wake as they make the jump to warp speed.

Have to try that someday.

Pardon my mediocrity of knowledge on the subject but is not light light. If film and a CCD or CMOS sensor can both capture the wave lengths of all visible light in the spectrum, even infrared; how would there be a disrepency in captureing an image, when, given a ufo the same light that film records bounced off of the UFO, a digital sensor could also detect. Light is light but say if by some possibility the properties of light are changed once in contact with a UFO, how then is the medium of film to record it - x-rays? But given that you must see it to shoot it, it therefore gives off visible light and therefore detecable by a digital sensor.
However, I don't beleive UFO's exist, except maybe in black government projects.

I believe in UFO's. 'Unidentified flying objects.'

You'll believe in aliens if you look at my profile picture! ;)

I think its stupid to belive that in this space that seems to be endlessly big, We are the only planet with life.. ?

Well yes many things simply not identified are technically UFO's. I'm refering to the alien, extraterrestial connotation of the term.

Btw, I don't see an Alien, I see a well done portrait of a lady, which I assume is you. :)

That's no lady, that's Justine. Just kiddin' Justine :)

Thank you Aaron, your so sweet and now I feel stupid for being so sarcastic. Sorry it's my nature and thank you for the nice words.

Yes, I strongly believe we are not alone here.
Aliens? I don't know but would not bet against them being out there. The universe is so big and we keep learning more and more all the time just how big it is.
I think Heida hit it on the head ...it's arrogant of us to think we could possible be the only life.

True, it is exclusionary to think it, but is it not simply theory?

That’s not entirely true. Actually, there are two new methods that will allow digital cameras to photograph UFOs. The first is a hardware modification that consists of a circuit board that must be carefully integrated with camera’s circuitry. The drawbacks are that the process requires fully equipped bio-engineering and electronics laboratories and a clean room. It’s also extremely expensive; requiring 2.5 pounds of dilitium crystals and a couple flux capacitors, both of which are very difficult to obtain. And, it only works with Canon EOS cameras. The other method is a software patch available from Microsoft’s download web site. Oddly enough, the patch was originally designed for Microsoft Internet Explorer v6.0, but with a few minor tweaks, it can be loaded into the camera and does a great job of circumventing the UFO’s shields and cloaking technology, as well as any other security an alien might dream up. Of course there are also drawbacks to using the patch. It makes the camera much slower, requiring long exposures an/or large apertures. It also makes it vulnerable to virus attacks. And, after using the patched camera, your email accounts will be inundated with spam on a daily basis.

The send some waves which effect digital sensors but haven´t still got the technice to do the same on films.

Maybe the confusion about taking pics of UFOs with digicams stems from the fact that the latest generation of photon torpedoes are so fast that they outrun the conventional shields & cloaking devices. I'll bet that toddhead's pic is really a late model photon torpedo.

Im going on a UFO hunt next week as well as searching the stars for signs of life out side or solar system.

Hopefully I will have pics to share...

But seriouslly I am going to West Texas for the Texas Star Party, a big telescope event all next week.

I have taken one but the men in black took it.

Sounds cool jab. But, in West Texas, be careful when identifying any ephemorial nebula that looks to be wearing horn rimmed glasses and carrying a guitar. Reports from Lubbock have it that the skies are alive with the ghost of Buddy Holly.

In response to micknewton's post- I better set the record straight. The reason dilitium crystals are so expensive and difficult to obtain is because Sadam Hussein was stockpiling them and has hidden three quarters of the world's supply with his the WMDs.

Sneaked into area 51 and got this one ;)

I was gonna submit this one in the challenge, Unusual viewpoint, but had another one that i choose in the end because i was not sure if it fits the challenge?
Any comments would be a help?
