Hi all ... any recomendations for a good image browser? Perhaps one that allows display of the image details ie. the aperture and shutter, iso.. etc... and perhaps even allows index prints?

Thanks..

Photoshops "Browse" tool is pretty good...otherwise ACDSee is a leading title. at my office we use something called thumbsplus...

ACDSee is a sweet program, worth every penny.... and also for some simple batch stuff, i've used Irfanview... not great, but it's free... =/

Hope that helps

ThumbsPlus. Not free, but shareware, so you can try it.

Cerious Software - ThumbsPlus

They are a great, responsive company. (Std Disclaimer: I am not affiliated, just a customer)

I use ACDsee "classic"..... It's much faster and simpler (less stuff crammed into it) than the current version.

I live by Paint Shop Pro's Browser! Its fast and uses an index file to speed up viewing. Once you view a directory, it uses this index file to instantaneously show all photos inside a directory instead of having to reread them like PS. It also reads and previews all kinds of image types...jpg,tif,gif,bmp...etc. Thumbnail size is adjustable from 50-150 pixels. Sorry....does not include the ability to read Exif data.

Breeze browser and downloader pro. I looked around a long time and asked about a fair bit and am pretty satisfied. It was this or ACDsee. Both solid choices

IrfanView is fine for image browsing and simple editing (like a quick resize) -- free, stable, effective, lets you check the EXIF data.

Extensis Portfolio, Great program with options that allow you to browse photos on other sources, as well as your hard drive.

I just thought of something else: I see you have a Canon.

I didn't mention Breezebrowser, but I see someone else did. One nice thing about BB is that it doesn't show you the .THM file that goes with each RAW file, but treats them as one, so if you delete a RAW file, it deletes the THM, and if you move or copy it, both are moved or copied. That's really handy.

Thumbsplus will start doing that in the next version, which is currently in Beta.
