I'm having problems with this theme. The Rock of Gibraltar is too far as is the Grand Canyon. I don't have any gems and I think gravel would be very boring. Any ideas you wish to share? --Rick

You could shoehorn a shot of Pebble Beach. Wish I lived there.

I'm not likely to be lucky enough to run across something like this again. I'm guessing you'll see a fair amount of rock stacks in the challenge.

I'm surprised that nobody has come up with geodes (//www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~iadesmoi/Toomstone/Augusta/geode.jpg).
Still can't think of anything interesting. Hmmmm.

One of the first images I thought of when this challenge theme came up. :-)

Ureka! I finally came up with a brilliant idea that should score around 3.3
That will keep me in line with my other entries.
Good luck to all of you!

No, I don't have the stones for this challenge. Where I live there are no waterfalls (only muddy creeks), no rocky beaches (only sand dunes), not even gravel in somebody's yard. The only province with rocks of any importance is up North, a 5 hour drive and I'll be there next month (sigh). Maybe I can scrape some pebbles of the road LOL

Stones? Maybe I could get Mick and the boys to pop on over for a group shoot. Nah- I don't have that kind of bread to hire them out.

Could always head on down to the local hobby shop and pick up some stones and try something creative with it. How about some pebbles on a dead man's eyes? Or could wet them down and do some textures. Tray of water on the counter to simulate a pond maybe- get low and catch the reflection.

Wondering if this fits, or something like it, can't find interesting rocks here, maybe might use that Pavillion for Architecture!

There's a beach along the 17-Mile Drive where the Carmel River meets the Pacific ... there seems to be a community art project going on -- virtually all the rocks are stacked ... :-)
