LOL maybe I should, looking at the score of my last few challenges.

edit: Would a photo of me throwing my camera in a trash bin while walking away score high?

It only looks like everyone else is bringing in solid 6+'s. We tend to notice what is on the front page the most and it often seems like every one else is busy winning.

Looking at your last 6 challenges, I see only one of them under a 5, and two of them in the 5.5 to 6.0 range that I consider to be a strong showing.

You might enjoy the game I play with myself. In my pre-challenge notes I try to predict what the critiques will be. A mediocre score then turns into a bingo game. (It also improves my critical eye on my own work.)

That might be an instant DQ, or at least a lot of DNMC votes. "Depict quitting this week in your entry... as long it's not quitting DPC. :)"

I expect we will see a lot of those type of entries, nonetheless.

Just kidding, I've walked the path of DPC for a long time, with a hiate of three years, long enough to not be bothered by the score. Just couldn't resist to play a little joke on the new challenge title.

LOL hadn't even opened the challenge yet. Not that I would have taken such an obvious shot though.
Ha ha Langdon sure was afraid that we all would pack our things and leave.

What's with the "I quit" submissions; 21 only with less than 30 hours to go!! If it stays like this all entries will be in the top 30!

Or maybe DPChallengers just do not like quitting. Or maybe there are no Ideas for such a challenge? Anyone has a clue tell us.

I am sure it is going to jump above 50 very soon :)

There was a couple of hundred however they all were withdrawn because the submitters quit the challenge. :)

How about " I will not quit " photography

Still life is just to tempting a subject to not shoot for most. Comparing the 2 is like comparing apples to oranges (sorry about the cliché).

I wonder if we will hit 70 submissions? (currently 45). I've got a shot that I hope would be in the top ten no matter how many images there are, does anybody think being in the top ten of a low entry challenge detracts from the result?

Definitely Andi :) Only joking.

No, I don't think so, at the end of the day, I think it's more important what your score is. If you are top ten with a 5.8, then it may not be quite the same as being top ten with a 6.5. To me I don't think it matters how many entries there are.

Well, now I'm going to root for your image to wind up in the mid-50s, just for SAYING something like this!

Lol Judi I'm no quitter, I give up before I quit. You should know there is a world of difference between a top 10 image and winning image. If this wasn't basic editing my shot would be so much better (needs a couple of minor tweaks I can't do).

You're welcome, but since you're still here, I obviously didn't push you hard enough.
