OKay, so thought it would be fun to have everyone to give out words of advice that they know.

Here is mine:

Never, EVER eat the fruit that has been soaking in vodka and red wine.

Off to go and curl into a ball somewhere dark

Maybe if it had just been soaking in vodka. Wine is gross :(

My advice is from Silent Bob in Clerks, "There's a million fine looking women in the world, dude. But they don't all bring you lasagna at work. Most of them just cheat on you."

Satchel Paige said "Never look back: someone might be gaining on you!" (Or words to that effect.)

When you think you're done wiping, wipe once more. Just in case.

It doesn't cause any offence if you prick your finger in public, but don't rearrange the words and try to get away with it!!

Juliet, I'm still waiting for the book. You've got a bestseller just waiting to be published, you know. :-)

well, there was that one time that Dave shrieked like a little girl when he made me kill a spider the size of an ant.

But I will give him this, I had to pick up several lizards and decapitated mice and he didnt shriek at that.

I warned you, I can handle anything pretty much other than those eight legged little freaks. Id sooner pet a rattle snake than a spider...

It was a size of a bloody ant, if not smaller. I was not impressed at that point in your manly prowess!

But you did open all the doors to everywhere we went, so you made up for it in charm. !!!

as far as the spider goes, it dont matter how big or small they still freak me out, Ive been known to actually find the pellet rifle for anything over the size of a quarter. Im totaly screwed now that I dont have my cat or dog anymore to take the little bastards out...

San Francisco columnist Herb Caen reported this scene, back in the heyday of the Women's Lib movement ...

As a man holds a shop door open, a woman snaps at him "You don't have to hold that door just because I'm a lady!"

"I didn't," he replied, "I held it because I'm a gentleman."

In Dave's defense, I once had to rescue a tiny little snake, about the size of an earthworm, from my big burly neighbor who was going to smash it with a shovel... I just picked it up and took it to my garden, poor thing! I can handle snakes. I can handle spiders outdoors. I do not much care for them indoors, however.

A number of years ago I was on the beach on the Oregon coast and found a stranded shark, tiger or sand I cant remember now but it was about 2 to 3 feet and in a small pool about 50 yards form the ocean. I ended up picking it up and putting it back in the ocean when people started looking for rocks and sticks to kill it...
