Okay, so I think this would be awesome. Picture this: You're happily browsing the wonders of DPC, scrolling listlessly through the myriad comments and thumbnails in some wonderful forum or another. Then you suddenly realize that you'd really very much like to go back to your own Profile page (perhaps to check out what the average score is you have given, after having read through tons of berating comments about trolls) -- but what is this?! You do not see the beloved "My Home" tab that grants you access to your most treasured of treasures! Panicking, you furiously scroll through what once seemed like harmless commenting, but has now turned into a sinister swamp that mires you in its endless postings, unable to find your way through, back to the surface -- to your sanctuary of tabs and the friendly "dpchallenge" logo. Finally, just as it seems all hope must be abandoned, and you are never again to "Learn" via the amazing tutorials, or search for a photographer profile in our "Community," or browse through the mammoth selection of various "Equipment," you break through! Ah, sweet joy, sweet success -- there it is again! You shove this most unpleasant of memories into the "repressed memories" section of your mind. In fact, you soon begin to think it was all just an over-exaggeration, really....until the next time!!!

But seriously though, it would be awesome if we could keep the tabs stationary at the top of the page as we scroll. :) I dunno -- might just be my laziness rearing its lazy head again, though. What do people think?

personally i hate scrolling menus. and i'm not sure 'stationary header' is the right term for one that moves :)

funny post though.

this is what i do. right click the DPC logo and choose 'open in new tab'
so i have two tabs one for whatever it i am browsing and one for looking up old posts or finding a photo, etc.

or you could simple right click you user name in one of your comments or posts and choose 'open link in new tab'

using IE7 anyhow.

Or you can just hit the "home" button, top row near the right side of your keyboard and zip back to the top of whatever thread and there's the header! It's a snap. And for what it's worth, the header you're proposing is a "floating" header, what we already have is a stationary one.

ahhh, Floating Header, then. damn.

The Home button thing, though -- I'll try it out. :)
