I've got a disappointingly low score with one comment that tells me it's a certain ribbon winner while another tells me they don't see how it fits the challenge!
Good luck to Connor by the the way (yes, young man, we did notice you subtlety pointing out your 6+ score!)

I feel the same way and have have received 3 very nice comments so far.

EDIT****Also, there are a lot of images that I think are probably not doing well because they didn't fit the mold of what most people have as "puzzle" or "puzzling" in there head. I will post mine in the post challenge forum after the challenge is over for critiquing because as a beginner I am definitely curious to know if my image is low quality or if it's just not worthy of the challenge.

Not in this one. But I did a little voting last night. I was expecting puzzling images that made me stop and think, though I see many people went with the more obvious puzzle pieces idea. Probably the only way to avoid the DNMC crowd, I suppose. If it makes me wonder about how it fits the challenge, then it is puzzling, right?

I realized last night that I missed a great opportunity for this challenge. I bought an item at a camera show recently that is some kind of antique photography device, but nobody knows what it is. I should have put it in this challenge and maybe someone could have identified it. I'll post some shots of it in the forums soon.

Nothing lower than a 5 from me so far, and a bunch of 7's.

You have rated 11 of 167 images (7%) in this challenge.
You have commented on 10 images (6%) in this challenge.
You have given an average score of 6.3636.

Yay. A four and no comment.

It would be nice to see who voted what at the end of a challenge.

160 votes and now 5.5000. Officially average.

Best of all I just got a 1, and obviously no comment. Why on earth would somebody wish to offer advice to allow me to improve my obviously rubbish photography? Maybe there's no improvement possible when my best efforts are worthy of a single point?

Where do you see individual votes cast?

At 159 votes my average was 5.5283 (159*5.5283 = 879 points)
At 160 vote my average is 5.5000 (160*5.5000 = 880 points)

Therefore the last vote was 1.

Still holding a 5.8. Yay! That's two semi-higher scores for me this week. (Anything above a 5.5 is a higher score for me. lol)

Maybe they don't really care about the photograph in any way and believe that the photographer meant to do everything exactly the way it was presented?

On a scale of Bad-to-Good where does liking/caring come into it? I did mean to do everything exactly the way it was presented, but a score of 1 would suggest a BAD photo and I'd love to know what's bad about it.

Your scale may be bad to good, but that's not necessarily someone else's scale. Hundreds of threads about this ;)

MY scale and the DPC scale. At the voting screen it says 1=Bad and 10=Good. Couldn't be clearer than that.
