After getting my 50D I found that I can fill my 2GB card in under an hour when shooting birds. I think I am going to order a couple 8GB cards. |

We have 5 2GB cards. I used to have a 4GB card, and I had a bad habit of keeping the images on there without dumping it... Then it got corrupted. That was A LOT of pictures to lose! Now I just sick with the 2GB, but that's just me :) |

I have a handful of 4's, a couple of 8's and a 16. Also a single 1Gb that I picked cheap at a yard sale.
Have a drawer full of 16Mb cards that will hold 1 or 2 pics. |

Two 4's. I shoot only in raw and get over 300 per card. |

I have a 40D. I generally use an 8 gig card and hardly ever fill it up. I've got a 12 gig that I got really cheap, and several 4 gig cards for trips when I may not be able to download. I have been known to shoot 300 - 400 shots on a Sunday morning, but I seldom need a back-up card except when I go to a sports event and start shooting in burst mode. That fills up a card fast. |

I have a Transcend 133X 16GB CF card. It came with this set kit thing that I got with my 50D and it works fine for shooting in JPEG but is really kinda slow when transferring to the comp. I'm saving up for a SanDisk Extreme IV 45MB/s Edition 16GB and maybe a SanDisk Extreme Ducati 8GB. |

I just have a 1GB and a 2GB, plus a couple of legacy 256ers from my Nikon P&S days. I've oly ever filled the 2GB once, on my 2-week trip to California in October. It's very rare for me to take more than maybe 20-40 exposures in a day of work. More normal would be 10-20. I'm kind of selective, a carryover from my large-format days.

I use a 4gb in my D300. On an empty card it lists 144 shots with RAW+Jpeg, but I can easily get over 200 on just that card. I have a 2gb and another 4gb as backup, which I rarely need. |

Two 4gb cards, one as a backup. Will probably continue to buy 4gb cards. Always shoot RAW +jpeg. |

I use two 8 GB cards (Transcends from Newegg.com) but then again I fire off quite a few burst when out shooting birds.

I have like 4-4GBs, 1-8GB, 1-2GB, and 1-1GB.....
I shoot only in RAW and it's nothing for me to take 300 shots in a couple hour outing.
I guess I'm just nuts.
Funny aside......I just came across the receipt for the D70s when I bought it and I paid $95.94 for the 1GB card.
The last 4GB card that I bought, a couple weeks ago was $17.99.

4Gb mostly with some 2Gb. I shoot only RAW.
Count wise...6 4Gb (at least) and 8 or so 2Gb cards. Need to be able to shoot all day with multiple bodies and sometimes w/ a second shooter, for a couple of days, before having to DL the files.

Moore's Law in action ... :-)
I have two 64MB cards for my Olympus, and two 2GB and two 512MB cards for my Canon; I'm not sure it takes larger even if I wanted them. |

I have a 2Gb I had / have for my Olympus and an 8Gb I use for my 5D MK II which I frequently fill up. I have an order in for a 32gb Sandisk card which I don't expect to need to replace for a while. |

I have several memory cards... currently two 4GB cards, three 2GB cards, a 1GB, and a 512MB. I only have this many because I often forget to put it back in the camera, leave the house, and end up buying another for that particular day.
I prefer having several smaller cards, rather than one or two large cards because I like having the backup in case a card fails, I lose one, or if I need to keep shooting, which uploading from one card to the memory card reader.

2 x 2GB
With the monsterous 50D files, I can fit around 100 RAW per card. I could get more cards, but I feel the cap on the number pictures I can take helps me to eliminate the crappy pictures before I even take them. Each shot I take is slighly more thought out..
If I was shooting an event or something I would of course buy an 8GB or two, but I haven't gotten to that level and and 2 x 2GB is fine for me on most days. |
