I bought my wife a camera for her birthday yesterday - a Fujifilm A310 - 3.1MP. It works great for what it's worth and she's happy with it.
This camera isn't in the DPC database so I shot a picture of it in case they like to add it.
The batteries didn't last too long though - 2 AA's. I have a battery charger however that I bought for my 420EX. Is there a type of rechargeable batteries that seems to be superior? I know they differ a lot but not sure which one are best.
I'm spoiled with the batteries for my Rebel - they seem to last forever and I bought a second pack that is even better.

I have a 3.1 MP cam, and I use Energizer 2100mAh rechargables. They last forever as well. Make sure whatever rechargables you get have the highest mAh you want to afford. :) I'm sure whatever comes with the cam is like 1100 or maybe 1400s.

I added the cam to the DPC database. I can't add the photo though, you'll have to wait for Drew or Lang to do that.

Get NiMh rechargeable batteries, energizer, duracell etc make those with fast chargers. I use Energizer NiMh rechageable batteries on my 550EX flash, they last qute a long time on one charge. |

Thanks for your replies. The batteries that were included by the way were Fuji Alcalines... not rechargeable. |

I have a Fuji and use 1850 mAh rechargeable and they go on for ages. I work from a pack of 4 then there's always 2 in the camera and 2 spares to charge. The advantage to having a camera with normal batteries is that even if you're caught out you can ALWAYS buy batteries anywhere. [/url] |

Another dumb question: The Olympus battery is a two pack thing BM-1. A genuine spare is $105 and a generic spare is $20. ANy difference? |

I bought a 24 pack of 2000mAh AA's from BatterySpaceseveral months ago, and they work well. In fact, as I check to make sure of the URL I see they have 24 pack 2250mAh AA's on sale (here).
