But...but...but I can pronounce "Una" *grin* No clue on the rest. It looks like a cool name though. Can we have a phonetic spelling of your name? I'm really curious now.

I am a facility maintenance man for a Caterpillar dealer. I work on everything that is not CAT yellow, ie doors, pressure washers, air compressors, and the like. This means I work for about 80 people in this store alone, and the company has 7 stores in this region. I borrowed this name as an "attitude adjustment" for myself. When human nature kicks in, and I feel like reminding someone that I am only one person and that I can't stop his or her project to work on theirs first, I remember that name and move on. It works about 90 percent of the time.

I was given the name when I was born by the tribe that lived on my grandpa's farm. For quite a while I didn't like it, but I've grown to love it, seeing as they really only gave it because they appreciated what my grandpa did for them... It reminds me of his kindness & generosity, so it's a badge of honor...

Oh, and it's meant to mean "wise old man." I guess that's their wish that I would turn out like him.

Yeah, I think I have rowed every position in the eight except bow, all on starbord, and I don't remember what I have rowed on port. I have sculled in everthing from a single to an octuple. I think the only boats I havn't rowed are a coxed pair, and a coxed quad.

I guess you could say I like rowing.

When I get around to it, I'll start to upload some of the thousands of pictures I have.

AAAH! You changed!! That was completely unexpected. I'm a little bit freaked out.

I just always thought you were a really big fan of JW Hart (PBR bullrider) since you live in Montana and all. So what happens if you and Jon Weber split - got a fall back name you would use?

Yeah, I had figured it was probably her boyfriend and was figuring she'd have to do a username change if they broke up. At 17, if my daughter had a boyfriend for 6 months, it was a long term relationship!

If at 17 my daughter has more than 2 dates with the same person, it would be a long term relationship! She is HIGHLY picky and they just don't hold up to her standards.

Lele is my nickname, and Z is my last name first letter.
My real name is Maria Thereza, but, I´m the oldest child in my family and my brothers and sister changed the R from thereza into L, so I became Theleza, to simplify, they called me only Le, so till today they call me Le, and the rest of the world call me Lele (I don´t know why).
30 years ago, when Luiz and I got married, we sent the wedding invitation to our friends, and was write, Maria Thereza and Luiz invite.....
Many friends called Luiz and asked, Hey, what happened with Lele? did you broke with her??
ok, long story...we still married.

I chose Balko for my site as well as here because it was shorter than either my maiden name or married name. I went back in my genealogy and took my great-grandmother's maiden name!

What a fun thread. I loved getting the inside stories on everyone's name.

Mine, SandyP, has actually become like my first name. Because everywhere I go, there are always at least one or more "Sandy"'s. I've been SandyP for so long, I almost don't even think of myself as just "Sandy" anymore. I hate that name anyway.

I wanted to be named something trendy but classy, like Bailey or Brooke or Ashleigh. . . .sigh . . . Sandy. . .bleh. Why not just name me "Gidget" or "Buffy" (sorry if there are any Gidget's and Buffy's out there, its just that I'm kinda wishing I didn't have such a "cutesy" name.)

Blue Moon...not what you might think. One day when I was 12, I went at a youth center after school. One day a girl names Sarah O'Brien was drawing pictures of people and giving them nick names. She was Blue Surfer (i think), my friend Anna was Blue Star, and my friend Juliana was named Red Jewel. I thought well, my fav color is Blue and the moon is kinda cool, so I will be "Blue Moon" (i still have the drawing somewhere and I will post it when I find it).

Throughout the years, the moon has become more meaningful to me. It is my "planet" for my astrological sign of cancer (which defines me to a t) and the 20th of July (my b-day) holds special significance towards the moon. I was also randomly drawn to do a report on Artemis (Goddess of the hunt and moon) in high school, so I thought the name turned out to be a good fit for me.

It wasn't til I was 14 or so that I even heard the phrase "once in a blue moon". It as defined as the rarity of an event, which makes me feel a little more special, and works well as a name since I work in an area involving art.

It is also a beer that until 1 month ago, I had not even tasted. I didn't want to taste it for the longest time because I was worried it would be gross, but was happy to find out that it is really quite tasty :)

For a while, I was debating changing my username to "LC Banks" (first and middle intial and last name) to create an androgynous aspect to my images, to avoid my images being judged by my gender...but it really doesn't matter here. I may sign my images like that in the future, but for now I really like being a Blue Moon :)
