aliqui = Some, someone, or something in Latin depending on the translation

Its my username from college network/e-mail. It is very uninspired. I think it could be the name of a robot. I am going to write a ticket to SC and get it changed. This thread has inspired me.

Expect big things =).

"Whereas the truth is that fullness of soul can sometimes overflow in utter vapidity of language, for none of us can ever express the exact measure of his needs or his thoughts or his sorrows: and human speech is like a cracked kettle on which to tap crude rhythms for bears to dance to, while we long to make music that will melt the stars."

No, I am originally from a small town inland where forestry was the main industry, now I live in the capital city (which I suppose is by a bay).

Interesting, because I have been thinking of starting the same post, but you did it first.

When I was stationed at RAF Mildenhall in the U.K., we had an MS-DOS users group on base. When we all rotated back to conus (Continental US for those unfamiliar with military lingo) we kept in touch bymeeting weekly in chat room on AOL. We called it the "Yo room".

Everybody had a Yo name. Yo Doc, Yo Hec, Yo Terry. Since I always liked the Spaceman Spiff character from the Calvin & Hobbes comic strip, that's what I chose. It's an unusual enough screen name that it is available on any site I go to and I only need to vary it as Yo Spiff (my preference), yospiff or Yo_Spiff, depending on user name rules for the site. If you see that name anywhere else it is probably me.

mine dates back to my days of logging into all the local Commodore 64 bulletin board systems. I wanted to have my handle (as we called them then) just be smartass but most system operators wouldnt let you use cuss words, hence i had to get creative and came up with Smardaz, I used to use "Enigma" before that but I don't think I am too difficult to figure out, so smart ass describes me alot better.... most people will agree

Well my name is Madelyn and growing up my family called me Maddie sometimes. One year for halloween when I was about 3 years old, my mom made a bat costume for me that said "battymaddie" on it.

I am rather curvaceous, and I was born in Germany.

My husband, an Aussie, gave me this nickname about 25 years ago.

His explanation: "'cause you're a cute and curvy thing made in Germany"

Ever since I was a kid I never needed much sleep ... and this only got worse as I got older. During my geekier (read hacker) days I saw a tag that read "there is life after 2 am" while traversing the city wardriving one night. I knew that had to be my name. I have had this moniker now for about 4 or 5 years, and will likely keep it for a long time to come.

Before this I was known as sonikntails, as I still am on some of the older forums I am on.

Hmmm... you're stories are all pretty much more interesting than mine.

I came up with this name back when I was 11 and first got the internet at my house (one of the last in my neighborhood, sadly... yet my computer was better than everyone elses!) I used it as a username for pretty much everything I signed up to, but most notably, it was the name for all 80 of my email addresses (like my Angelfire email address... man I miss that account). And now I use it for everything pretty much. If you see an Adamsw216 on any forum or anywhere on the internet... it's probably me.

Adam = my name
SW = Star Wars
216 = my birthday (February 16th)

I'm an animal behaviorist working in an animal shelter --- training people and dogs during most of my waking hours. Love the recent trends in dog training toward more dog-friendly, people-friendly, science-based methods.

My user name is my college nickname. Combo of the red hair and the fact that i always seem to get lucky. It used to also reflect the year of my birth, but i got a lot of juvenile comments. So when "shamrock" became available, i dropped the additional numbers from my original user name.
