well i assume so. ill run the program again in safe mode to be sure

ha! how funny, my computer just crashed in safe mode. i never even knew that was possible.

I've had two computers which blue screened due to heat issues; try running the system with the side off for a while and see if it remains stable. If it does, it might be worth considering some cheap thermal solutions.

The blue screen has a number on it. such as 0x0000007e or some such thing. If it ends in e, then it is a memory issue. The thing to do is reseat your memory. That will fix it 60% of the time. Don't forget, it could also be video memory, which resides on your video card. So reseat that as well. If you still have the problem, remove one stick of memory and don't put it back. Run the pc with only the one stick. if that does not work, try the other stick try the other slot. Sometimes it's the slot! Of course if your BSOD (blue screen of death) has another number, I would need to know the number. I was tech support for three years for Dell when my job went to India. Before that I was at HP for 4 years when my job went to India. Before that I was 5 years at Compaq, and you guessed... my job went to India.

it doesnt end in e unfortunatly. its x- amount of zeros and ends in 5. ill try the heating thing paul suggested in a sec
